Spring is in full swing at The District! What does that mean? Produce, produce, produce! We love to incorporate lots of fresh local vegetables in our dishes like our local field pea succotash. We are getting different ingredients from various areas such as Baldwin County, Alabama, Louisiana and Northwest Florida. A few of these veggies we are using are tomatoes, carrots, brussel sprouts, fava beans, ramps and more! You can look for these items in our lunch and dinner specials that we do here at The District. We are also debuting new dessert recipes as well. You can expect a cheesecake trio - chocolate, vanilla and lemon cheesecake with some fun toppings; different flavors of ice cream - all made in-house; and a special lemon mascarpone sherbet. We are open for lunch service Tuesday - Friday, 11am - 2pm, and just a short two minute walk from Palafox Street. Come pay us a visit during the day and we will serve you an awesome lunch!

We had a great time at the Repast Dinner on May 19th. With almost 450 years in the making, the Repast dinner is a farm-to-table style dinner seating 200 people in the center of Zaragoza Street, located in the Historic District of Downtown Pensacola. Guests are taken through Pensacola’s culinary history as local chefs come together in partnership with the Pensacola Downtown Improvement Board, UWF Historic Trust and the University of West Florida Archeology Institute for this tasty experience. The District was honored to provide the salad and soup portion of the meal - a panzanella salad; a modern twist to the classic gazpacho recipe, as well as a seafood stew recipe dating back to the 1830s. The Repast dinner really blends the history of Pensacola with modern dining, cooking techniques and flavors to bring to the residence living here as well as seasonal visitors. This is exactly what we try to do here at The District!

We’ve also got some fun events in the works coming to The District this June - you can expect a weekly Thursday wine and food pairing tasting in the upstairs lounge as well as a delicious Father’s Day Celebration meal on Sunday, June 16th from 4pm - 8pm.
