As we move into August, we look towards the Dog Days of Summer. It's getting hotter and hotter! But not to worry, we have some watermelons coming in from our farms in Louisiana! We are incorporating these beautiful golden, red watermelons into our new Watermelon Feta Salad, made with arugula pickled watermelon rinds and a nice champagne vinaigrette. This is a very light and refreshing dish - perfect for the summer heat!

We’ve also got an awesome Napa Valley Wine Dinner coming up on August 7th, so make sure you join us for that. There's going to be a hundred day dry-aged ribeye that we're aging in the meat locker for you right now, as well as some other decadent top shelf items that are hard to find and not often seen in this town. Come celebrate our One Year Anniversary since The District: Seville Steak & Seafood’s Grand Opening on August 9th! This is a very exciting time for us here at The District and we can’t wait to continue the fun for years to come with our downtown neighbors! I remember one year ago we were running around like maniacs, scrambling to get everything set up and we’re just about to open. It’s been a great first year of hard work and long hours and I could not be more proud of my awesome staff! I want to thank the city of Pensacola as well for supporting us! We are so lucky to have such an amazing community!

Due to the cooler weather in the Northwest, we're getting some really beautiful morel mushrooms that we will have for the next several weeks. We're doing a fabulous saute with garlic shallots and white wine parmesan cream sauce. It’s a great addition to the steaks and a rare find this time of the year, so get them while they're hot! 

We’ve also got some delicious chanterelles and wonderful padron peppers, eggplant, tomatoes, okra and all kinds of gorgeous summer produce from our local farmers to pair with our steaks and seafood this month!
